Winter Solstice

The shortest day of the year - the solstice - is nearly upon us!

Join us at Seed on Sunday the 18th for a fun time in the cold - brrr! Just rug up, you’ll be fine. Plus we will get the fire pits going to keep everything cosy.

There will be live music (Ella McCubbin), craft activities for kids and adults, a sausage sizzle, wood fired pizzas, and great company.

Come along and support the Garden!

Nakunbalook Centre - Growing Mushrooms

Home grown mushrooms are so tasty, and you can get access to a far wider variety of species than at the supermarket by growing from your own spores.

But growing fungi is a little different from growing lettuce, and you may wonder, how do I start? Where can I get spores? How do the darn things grow anyway, and where do I put them?

Come down to Nakunbalook on Tuesday the 18th to find out.

For more information, please contact the Nakunbalook centre via Wellington Shire (enquiries@wellington.vic.gov.au) or Heather at Seed Garden (heather.seedgarden@gmail.com)

Gardening Group

Our regular gardening group. Come along and help out at the garden! Feel free to do whatever jobs you notice need doing, and if you’re not sure what you can do, we’ll be happy to help out and guide you a little until you’ve got as green a thumb as anyone.

Come along, learn a few things, pull some weeds, move some compost, and have a cuppa afterwards. There is also the pizza lunch at 11am, so hang around for that too

Gita Yoga (for beginners)

Gita yoga is a form of yoga based on 10 simple positions from the Hatha yoga tradition.

Working on balancing the brain, nervous system and endocrine system (hormone-producing glands), these yoga postures plus breathing and relaxation exercises will help you loosen up, feel more flexible, increase your stamina, and help you cope with the pressures of daily life.

The lesson is free, but please bring a yoga mat, towel or picnic rug to use, as well as a water bottle! We look forward to seeing you at Seed Garden on the 28th :)

For more info or enquiries, please phone or text Jennifer on 0409 351 289 or email aromaticsensations@gmail.com
