Seed Management Committee EOI

As a Board Member of Seed Community Garden you help to oversee the affairs of the incorporated association, ensuring its legal obligations are met and that the organisation is soundly managed for the benefit of all.

Committee members support the vision, purposes and values of the organisation and ensure the governance and management of the organisation reflect them.

Responsibilities

Some of the responsibilities will include:

• develop, review and endorse the organisation’s policies and procedures

• meet monthly to monitor the performance of the organisation. Committee members shall ensure that appropriate monitoring and reporting systems are in place, and that these are maintained and utilised to provide accurate and timely information

• be diligent, attend Committee meetings and devote enough time to preparation for these meetings, allowing for full and appropriate participation in the Committee's decision-making

• consider the best interests of the organisation when making decisions or voting on an issue

Time Commitment

Approximately 3 hours per month made up of 2 hours of time per month for meetings and 1 hour for preparation for meetings. Committee meetings are currently held on the third Saturday of each month.
